Seattle YouTube Day is coming up on November 3rd, 2018 which makes me think of last years event. It was my first time being a panelist and speaking in public about having a YouTube channel. I was super nervous but also very excited. I had an amazing time and I was lucky enough to have awesome fellow panelists. These ladies were seriously great.
We were told that we could prepare a 5 minute presentation on any topic that interested us. Me being me, meant I wanted to teach people even from the very beginning of my channels existence. I came up with a list of things I wish I had known before I started my channel to share. I remember thinking that the majority of people might not believe that I was an expert in anything but it wasn’t going to stop me. Here’s a video of my 5 minute speech.
I was under 900 subscribers when I spoke on that panel. Now, as I am preparing to moderate panels and speak on a panel, it’s weird to think of how far I’ve come in a relatively short time. I hope this serves as a lesson that not only can anyone learn from someone else but that also, you never know where the future is going to take you if you just keep on trucking.
This year I got to speak to my friend Andrew from one of our amazing sponsors: TubeBuddy. We did an interview on their channel talking about the event. If you want to take a peek take a look at this:
